Just added to our extensive collection is this wonderful rosewood armchair upholstered in a high quality blue tweed material. The chair is very comfortable to sit in and has a nice support for the arms and back. The armchair was designed by Ingvar Stockum in 1965 for Futura Möbler (Futura furniture) and was sold under the model name “Monte Carlo”.
The production line for this furniture series was short-lived and only lasted for about two years due to very high production costs that nearly bankrupted Futura Mobler. The reason for the high production costs was due to the amount of material required to manufacture this particular series. By looking at the solid rosewood frame, you can clearly see they spent a lot of money constructing these frames.
** There is a two seat and three seat sofa available in the same series **
