A 1960s Robert Heritage rosewood Dorrington sideboard. Robert Heritage was chief designer for British furniture manufacturer Archie Shine. Archie Shine were a high end furniture manufacturer who retailed their furniture through Heals which is a well known British furniture and household goods seller. Heals and Archie Shine are synonymous with quality furniture in quality materials and Rosewood was one of the most exotic materials in the 60s so much so that its use was banned in 1978 in order to protect the rainforest.
This sideboard has a series of drawers on the left side, each with brass insert handles and then two cupboard sections each hidden behind a sliding door. The cupboard section will hold some spirit bottles along with glasses, crockery etc. The sideboard has been fully refurbished and is in very good vintage condition. All door and drawers are fully functioning.
