This striking ceramic vase was designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi as part of the iconic “Rimini Blu” series, produced in Italy during the mid-20th century. It retains its original richly textured glaze, showcasing deep cobalt blues layered over the signature incised geometric surface. The finish has been carefully cleaned and preserved to maintain its authentic studio character without altering the patina or surface variation that makes these pieces so desirable.
Dimensions:
Diameter: 10.5 cm.
Height: 23.5 cm.
📌 Condition
In really good vintage condition, with two smaller chips on the inner rim, possibly from production. The outer glaze is beautifully intact with natural variations in tone and texture consistent with hand-finished production. Light age-related wear to the base as well, in keeping with its age.
🧡 Why It Stands Out
This is a classic example of Londi’s sculptural approach to ceramic design, where surface and form are equally important. The bold “Rimini Blu” palette makes it instantly recognizable, while the tactile surface gives it depth from every angle. A strong standalone decorative object or perfect as part of a grouped ceramic display.
