An iconic Danish lounge chair designed by Svend Skipper, often referred to as the “Papa Bear” chair for its generous proportions and embracing silhouette. Designed and manufactured in the 1960s, the Model 91 combines sculptural arms with a high backrest and elegantly tapered legs in solid teak.
This example has been fully restored and newly upholstered in a contemporary tweed fabric known as ‘Marmalade’—a rich, textured blend of orange and rust tones that pairs beautifully with the warmth of the teak frame. The combination of classic form and modern fabric gives this piece a fresh yet timeless appeal.

This chair has undergone a complete in-house restoration by our professional team. The internal frame and padding were inspected and rebuilt where necessary, the springs re-tensioned, and the entire piece reupholstered using traditional methods. The teak legs and arms were refinished by hand to restore their original tone and luster.
We don’t outsource restoration or take shortcuts. Every piece is handled start to finish by our workshop team to ensure studio-level results that honour the original craftsmanship.
