A charming Lisa Larson bulldog from the iconic Kennel series for Gustavsberg, Sweden. Originally designed by Larson in the 1970s, the Kennel series is celebrated for its characterful, hand-finished ceramic animals, each capturing the distinctive personality and expression of its subject. This bulldog features Larson’s unmistakable sculptural style, with a softly rounded body, short legs and a wonderfully expressive face. The natural stoneware surface has warm, earthy tones, complemented by hand-painted detailing around the eyes, nose and muzzle.
A beautifully understated piece of Swedish mid-century design, this bulldog works equally well as a standalone decorative object or alongside other pieces from Lisa Larson’s animal series.
