Vintage Pair of Orange Velvet Lounge Armchairs, Ebonised legs with brass feet, 1960s.

This pair of vintage chairs have been on our mind for a long time, trying to figure out which direction to go and we think the results speak for themselves. Originally, these chairs were in a very worn and dull grey corduroy velvet with brown-stained beach legs, we have transformed them into something spectacular, a statement for your home or office. We upholstered these in a rich burnt-orange velvet. These chairs feature generously proportioned, sculptural forms, each chair has a distinctive winged arm design, gently angled buttoned backrest and deep, comfortable seat. The chairs are raised on elegant tapered ebonisied-stained legs, finished with small brass ferrules that add a subtle decorative detail.

The combination of their bold orange upholstery and beautifully shaped silhouette makes this pair particularly eye-catching, while their generous proportions make them equally suited to a living room, reading area or statement seating arrangement.

Condition: 

These chairs have been completely refurbished, each chair has brand new modern and high-quality velvet that is durable, easy to clean and maintain. Each frame has been restored and we have ebonised the legs as well as polishing up the brass feet. One of the legs have a bit of a warp in it, which is unfortunately common for mid-century chairs of this style and seem to have been there since production.
