Just added to our collection is this stunning armchair, featuring tan leather cushions and was designed by the renowned Danish designer Illum Wikkelso in the 1950s. Sold under the model name “Capella”. The chair is manufactured in rosewood which has a lovely deep and rich grain, evident throughout the armchair. This armchair would be the perfect addition to any living room, lounge area or office requiring a comfortable chair to sit in to relax, read or just simply watch TV.
The idea for this chair was formed when Illum Wikkelso had spare wood leftover from a previous project, he formed the arms which resembles a cricket bat, the rest of the process involved joining other pieces together and the Capella chair was born. The design is clean, minimalistic with rectangular shaped legs, a slatted back configuration and an overall beautiful and simple design.
