A vintage teak dining table designed by Tom Robertson for McIntosh of Kirkaldy. This is the famous double extension McIntosh dining table. It has two 37.5 cm extension leaves built in. The open and close in what is known as the “Butterfly” method. Rather than a separate extension leaf that either hides within the table of is kept away from the table this table uses the butterfly method which is two very neatly stowed away leaves that fold in half and are hidden by the table top. If you go through all the images you will see the table in all its possible sizes. The table has been hand restored and is in very good condition. The inner hardware is brass which is always a very good sign of quality. The table has its original sticker.
