Tamara Aladin was a Finnish designer known for her work in glass, primarily for Riihimäen Lasi Oy, a major glass manufacturer in Finland. Born in 1932, Aladin had a background in industrial and interior design. Although her career in glass design began relatively late, she became one of the most influential Finnish glass designers of the mid-20th century, especially during the 1960s and 1970s. This model 1360 glass vase features a clean, minimalist design featuring a smooth teal hue. The vase has a tapering form, with a broader opening that narrows down to a slightly flared, clear base. This aesthetic is consistent with mid-century modern designs, which emphasized simple, functional forms with a touch of elegance.
Stamped on the base.
